RYAN CARLIN | Artistic Director
RYAN CARLIN is an active choral conductor, director, clinician, and adjudicator in the greater Philadelphia area. Ryan attended Temple University and the Temple University Honors College where he received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education singing and studying under the batons of Dr. Paul Rardin and Dr. Rollo Dilworth. Ryan began his professional music career singing and studying with Dr. Paul S. Jones at Tenth Presbyterian Church in Rittenhouse Square and the Philadelphia Chamber Choir.
Ryan's near decade of high school teaching has taken him through the School District of Philadelphia, Monroe Township (Gloucester County), Council Rock School District, and Souderton Area School District. Ryan's choirs have been award winning finalists in the B101 Christmas Choir Competition 7 years in a row, winning the grand prize in 2020. His ensembles have had successful performance tours abroad, most notably to Spain and Portugal. Ryan has also been host to one of the A Cappella Education Association's few national partner festivals, A Cappella at the Rock.
An active member of American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), Ryan has served on his local PMEA executive board and has had the distinction of presenting multiple sessions at sponsored professional development events.
Ryan resides in Doylestown, PA with his wife Logan, their two cats, Finn and Louie, and their daughter Lily.
