Re-imagining the Creative Process”
Choral Composers find inspiration many places: in art,
literature, religion, and the cultural and social
currents of their time. This concert features works by
composers who forged new and sometimes idiosyncratic
paths, and reflects on the diverse influences that
shaped their creative impulse.
A cappella choral music from Machaut and
Monteverdi to Debussy, Poulenc and Tavener, and much in
between!

works for chorus and piano, featuring Johannes Brahms'
romantic Zigeunerlieder (Gypsy Songs), Randall

settings by Aaron Copland.
