Simplicity at its finest

There are so many choices for holiday concerts every year, and each concert promises to be the best.  But is the best what we are really looking for in a holiday concert?  I think what we are really looking for is an experience.  Something that will get us into the proverbial holiday spirit.  Something that we will remember.  Something that is different than all of the other offerings out there. ​

​Don’t get me wrong, I love the Messiah, the Nutcracker, and sing-a-longs. I genuinely do.  But this year why not try something different.  That is what CoroAllegro is trying to provide to our audience members this year.  A holiday concert experience that you will not forget.  Not because of herald trumpets or timpani, nor because of fancy lighting, massive orchestras, or costumes.  But because of the sheer beauty and simplicity of the evening.  An all Bach holiday concert, presented by candlelight in one of Delaware’s most beautiful churches, featuring our wonderful 30 member choir, 1 oboe, 1 violin, 1 cello, and 1 piano. A truly immersive Bach experience, presented just how, in my humble opinion, the great master himself would have wanted.
