It feels good to be back in weekly rehearsals! Breaks are nice, but there's really nothing like getting together with fellow singers to work toward the common goal of an outstanding concert in a few months! Tonight we started to dig in to the music and really worked some rhythms. As Jeff said in his post last week, Broadway music is deceptively complex. If you let yourself slip into thinking it's "just a show tune" it's easy to get hopelessly lost in the syncopated rhythms and tight harmonies. We definitely still have some work to do before we present this concert for you, but for now, here are a couple clips of our first time out with "Can't Stop the Beat"!
